The first St. Petersburg International Forensic Forum: our participation

On June 10 and 11, the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia held the first St. Petersburg International Forensic Forum, the venue for which was the conference hall of the V.P. Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology on the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, territorial bodies and departmental educational organizations, leading scientists from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Mongolia and the Republic of Tajikistan. Over 150 researchers and practitioners, including more than 50 doctors of law, became guests of the forum.
In honor of the opening of the first St. Petersburg International Forensic Forum, a midday signal gun was fired from the Naryshkin bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
During the forum, topical issues of ensuring the legality of criminalistic support for the investigation of crimes, the influence of criminology on criminal procedural law-making, the ratio of criminal procedural evidence and operational investigative activities were considered.
The participants of the event had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest developments of leading domestic manufacturers of equipment presented at the forum, including to look at the work of EKROSCHEM's X-ray analyzers and find out how our devices can help in the forensic field.
