Purpose: determination of the mass fraction of petroleum products in wastewater and drinking water, soils and bottom sediments, total hydrocarbons in atmospheric air samples. Determination of the mass fraction of fats and nonionic surfactants in wastewater and drinking water samples.
Principle of operation: sample preparation includes extraction of petroleum products from the studied samples with organic solvents.
Next, the optical density of the solution of petroleum products, fats and NPAV is measured in the infrared region of the spectrum.
